Hello everyone! My name is Silvana and I'm from Austria and also currently live here. One of my biggest hobbies is learning new languages. Apart from languages I learned at school (English, Spanish, French), I developed a big love for Slavic languages. That's why I fluently speak Serbian and I also know some Russian and aspects of the Czech language.
I love learning new languages, because in my opionion every language opens up a new world. And as I like to travel a lot, I like to communicate in the local language and understand the culture more that way.
Another big hobby of mine are sports. I enjoy running and fitness the most :)
Me as a Teacher
After my Bachelor's degree in Slavic Linguistics I finished an additional academic degree in "Teaching German as a foreign language". Since then, I had the chance to teach study preparation courses for international students at the University in Innsbruck and to do an internship as an language assistant at the philological faculty in Novi Sad, Serbia, for one semester.
I have been teaching online for more than 3 years now and I additionally have experience in teaching online group lessons, one of them focusing on academic writing skills.My lessons & teaching style
My main goal is to make you feel more confident during having conversations in German.
This will be practiced by speaking about topics of your interest, but also controversial topics which leave room for debates.
With the help of videos, quizzes, games, pictures and short articles we will always have enough input for conversations.
If you are more at the beginning, we will follow a step-by-step approach supported by a coursebook and additionally created materials.
Apart from the above mentioned, I want to listen to you and your needs and adjust my lessons around them :)My teaching material

Silvana ist eine wunderbare Lehrerin. Ich bin ihr sehr dankbar.
Ich mache immer noch grundlegende Fehler, dabei berichtigt sie mich geduldig.
Die Unterrichtsstunde geht so schnell, weil es viel Spaß macht und es viel zu lernen gibt.
Ich will weiter mit ihr Deutsch lernen und mein Deutsch verbessern!
